The Hunt by Lorenzl
This is one of Lorenzl's larger famous Diane series pieces, similar to the one on the front of the first edition Catley Book. A top quality cold cast enamel bronze of a naked Diane and dogs. Signed to the bronze base Lorenzl. It measures 14.5 inches long by 6.5 deep by 13 high (37cm x 16.5 x 33). Condition is very good with a good original patina. The onyx lower base shows some signs of a repaired crack but as most of it is under the bronze base of the statue - it is barely visible. A fabulous and rare statue.

Bronze group by Melani
A large - 34 inches wide, 8 inches deep and 15 inches high - bronze lady and peacock on a bow fronted black marble base 1.5 inches thick. The figures are green patinated bronze and are signed and stamped bronze in the metal. She is wearing a long, figure hugging, slinky dress falling to expose one breast. Condition is very good, with just a hint of the bronze wearing through the patina and some nibbles to all 4 corners of the heavy base and a single larger chip to the right hand edge of the marble.

Ref: F2325 . . . £1250

Bronze Diane The Huntress by Kolzoff
A wonderful art nouveau period bronze - a signed piece by Serge Kolzoff. See my Information on Artists page for more details about Kolzoff. This lovely figure measures 13 inches high and the quality is exceptional. She carries a bow and arrows in a sash attached to her belt around her hips, in very classical pose. Condition is excellent with only a few minor age related patina spots due to the fact that she's about 100 years old. Email me for more pics.

Bronze Snail and Fox Lamps by Fontinelle
A pair of wonderful quality silvered bronze lamps, signed by the artist L. Fontinelle in the bronze. They each measure approx 4.5 inches wide and 10 inches high to the tops of the original cream alabaster globe shades. The condition is very good with no apparent repairs or damage but there is some silvering loss due to age.

The Jester by Marcel Andre Bouraine
Wonderful top quality green patinated bronze female wearing a jesters hat and holding an ivory baton, dancing on an onyx globe. Signed Bouraine to the marble plinth. She measures a total height of 19.5 inches (49cm). Condition is very good with just a couple on small chips to the onyx under her foot, barely worthy of a mention.

Bronze Dancer by Josef Lorenzl
Stylish and dramatic cold painted silver bronze figure of a beautiful lady running in period dress with fine detail and colour. Signed to the bronze socle edge and raised on a Brazilian green onyx base. Made in the early 1930's in Austria, having a total height of 9 inches (23cm) including the base. In excellent condition.
Josef Lorenzl, Austrian, 1892 to 1950 created many small figural models in the Art Deco period around 1910-1939. These models were used among others by members of the association of bronze producers "Wiener Bronzen" ("Vienna Bronze"), as well as by the famous ceramics manufacturer Goldscheider from Vienna. Typical for Lorenzl, and at the same time characteristic of the Art Deco era, was the depiction of the concept of modern life - in particular, that of the "modern woman" in rhythmic, sensual and aerodynamic poses taken from the new forms of dance, for which there was a lot of enthusiasm at that time. Similar pieces can be found in the Catley Book and in Victor Arwas book of Art Deco Sculpture.

Bronze Dancer by Lorenzl
Wonderful Art Deco bronze figure of a naked young lady in stylised pose with fine cold painted silver and enamel colour and good surface detail, raised on a grey onyx base and signed to the bronze socle. It measures 9 inches total height (23cm) and was made in the early 1930's in Austria and was probably produced by the Goldscheider foundry as there are signs under the base where the original foundry circle plate has fallen off. Condition is excellent. Josef Lorenzl, Austrian, 1892 to 1950 created many small figural models in the Art Deco period around 1910-1939.
