'Companions' by Lormier
A large French silvered bronze lady and dog group on a heavy stepped Portorro Extra marble base, measuring 24 inches by 6 inches (61cm x 15). This is a fine quality bronze with crisp detail, the partially naked lady having lovely deco stylised hair detail, and especially nice hand, feet and facial detail. The dog has a bronze patina, and the ladies sash is green cold painted enamel. The signature appears cast into the half-inch thick bronze base. In excellent condition with usual expected tiny age chips to the corners of the marble base. Total height is 10 inches (25.5cm). This is a very heavy statue.

'Friends' by Coste
Large French Quality Bronze figural group of a lady and Borzois. It has a lovely aged golden bronze patina and the base measures 26 inches long and 8 inches deep.The stylised lady sits approx. 13.5 inches high and it is signed in the bronze on the right hand end - Georges Coste. It is also marked at the back 'cire perdue', which pertains to the lost wax method of production. The condition is excellent and very original with no damage or repairs. Georges Coste was an early 20th century sculptor, who was born in Romans in the late 19th century. He was a student of Boucher and exhibited figures and busts at Le Salon des Artistes, and was a winner of a third class medal in 1925.

Dianne the Huntress by P. Le Faguays
This lovely French bronze Dianne is the middle version by Pierre Le Faguays. I also have the large version (ref: F2328) and the small version, email me for more pics of either one. She is standing on a bronze base simulating rocks and stands almost 18 inches tall. Her bow and green patina are all original and in excellent condition with just expected ageing to the patina, and with no damage or repairs. Bronze Nymph & Deer by Morlon
This lovely bronze group is in really amazing condition. It is the smaller version of the famous Nymph and Deer, I also have the very large version. You can email me for pics of the larger one or more pics of this one if required. This one has a green themed patina and is mounted on a curved edge onyx base which measures 24.5 inches long by 7.5 inches deep. The lady sits 12 inches high and the piece is signed A. Morlon with a foundry seal in the bronze as per usual with this figure. The condition is excellent but it does have one chip to one of the back corners of the onyx base.

Bronze Panther by Laurent
Large French bronze panther with golden patina, mounted on a pink marble base measuring 24 inches long. Very good condition.

Bronze Dish Dancer by Lorenzl
Unsigned, cute impish green patinated bronze lady dancing in the centre of a Brazilian green onyx bonbon dish. Lady measures approx. 5 inches (13cm) high and dish has a diameter of 5.5 inches (14cm). Condition is good.

'Femme Nue Assise' by Riviere
Huge silvered bronze nude crouching and holding a basket of fruit. Mounted on a purple and green marble plynth. Total height is 17 inches (43cm). Base measures 14 x 8 inches and 2 inches high. Signed Giraud Riviere to the base and impressed bronze to her foot. Condition is very good with some minor wear and ageing to the patina.

Bronze Lady Lamp by St. Schwartz
Superb quality Austrian bronze lady playing a guitar sitting below a lamp post with floral detail growing up the post, which incorporates the lamp. The shade swivels around which allows a better view of the bronze lady. The base is of buff coloured onyx and the piece is signed to the bronze socle. I have had this figure previously, but only as a figure and never a lamp. The lampshade with this piece is the original and will probably need replacing, but to the purchasers taste. Height 25 inches (64cm), and base measures 11 x 8.5 inches (28 x 22cm). A wonderful, top quality bronze lamp - very usable and in wonderful original condition.

Bookends by Marcel Bouraine
These are the famous leaping deer which accompanied the Diana and fawns statue by Marcel Bouraine. These are a pair of silvered bronze bookends. One is signed Bouraine to the leg and both are mounted on verdigris marble bases. They each measure 8 inches long by 3 deep by 9 high (20cm x 7.5 x 23). One of the them has a plaque to the front which reads 'Le Comite de la Semaine du poisson de Dieppe', so we can assume these were a presentation trophy item to someone involved in fishing. Condition is very good with no damage or repairs and the silvering is very good with just a few minor age related marks.
