Trois Pelicans Vide Poche by Max Le Verrier
Extremely rare patinated art deco bronze 3 pelican dish (vide poche). I have never seen this piece before and it may be a one off as it has been found at the Le Verrier house that was recently sold in the South of Paris. I have many items from this clearance. The 3 comical pelicans are sitting looking at a frog on the edge of a pond dish. Signed to the base Artus, this was the pseudonym used by Max Le Verrier in the 1920s, also marked Etalon to the back which might be a foundry name. Condition is very good.
