'Plentitude' by Chiparus
A green patinated terracotta nude with the Chiparus zigzag hair detail and signed to the base D. H. Chiparus. She is in very good original condition with just a couple of small areas of patina loss and no damage. Measures 18.5 inches wide, 17 inches high and 8.5 inches deep (47cm x 43cm x 22cm). Refer to the 2nd Chiparus book by Alberto Shayo, page 247.

Bird Lady by Chiparus
Lovely bronze nude holding birds with gilt patina and mounted on a faceted black marble base. Signed to the marble D.H. Chiparus. Total height is 13 inches (33cm). There has been a repair to the rear of the marble base, otherwise good condition with just some very minor patina loss.

Large Silvered Bronze Nude by Lorenzl
Stunning nickel plated bronze nude dancer, measuring a large 14.75 inches (38cm) tall including the green marble base. Signed to the bronze socle Lorenzl and in excellent condition.

Girl with a Lamb by Toste
French dark green patinated bronze stylised statue of a girl hugging a lamb. Signed to the base Georges Toste, which I believe was a pseudonym used by Georges Coste. Coste won a medal at the Salon des Artistes Paris in 1925. Made in the late 1920's - early 1930's. It measures 18.5 inches long by 4.75 inches deep by 10.5 inches tall (47cm x 12cm x 27cm). Condition is exceptionally good.

Bronze Plaque by A. Jouanneault
Huge bronze nude plaque c.1930, with enamelled floral detailing to her garland. Signed on the garland A. Jouanneault. It measures 20.5 inches high by 23 inches wide (52cm x 59cm). In very good condition.
Albert Constant JOUANNEAULT (1888-1944) French, born June 9th 1888 in Saumur where there is street named after him. Fought in the first world war and was commissioned to design numerous war memorials in the inter war years. During the second world war he became Director of Office for Food and joined the Saumur Resistance movement for who he produced fake ration cards. He was arrested during a raid in September 1943 and deported to Buchenwald where he died in 1944.

Signed Bronze Mirror Dancer

A lovely French bronze lady, approximately 19 inches high. She has a gold patination and is holding a mirror in her right hand and is wearing a bra top with a scarf tied around her waist, and a tricorn hat. The base is of verdigris marble and she is signed by the artist Fournier. This same figure can be viewed in the Bryan Catley book, volume two, page 151.

Bronze Nude by Gori
A lovely nude with a golden patina standing nearly 17 inches high on a bronze platform on a 5 inch square stepped base of black marble and green onyx. This lovely bronze figure has lovely facial detail and deco stylised hair with red enamelled flower detail. The condition is excellent with the usual minor chips to the edges of the base. This figure is signed on the base - Gori.

Bronze Dancer
A lovely, unsigned bronze dancer by E. Seger, on an onyx socle. In excellent condition, but with some chips to the base. 11.5 inches high.

Printemps by Van de Voorde
French bronze art deco figure standing next to a a bronze flower pot on a column of marble. The marble is portorro and the lady is signed to the base socle Van de Voorde. Van de Voorde was a Dutch artist working in France during the deco years. The base measures 7.25 inches long by 5 inches deep and the total height is 10 inches (18.5cm x 12.5cm x 25.5cm). Condition is very good with a little expected ageing to the ladies patina.

The Snake Charmer
A bronze snake charmer signed by the German sculptor Rudolf Kaesbach, (1873-1955). A red patinated headscarf and with ruby coloured glass eyes to the snake. Mounted on a marble base measuring 4.75 inches by 3.5 inches (12cm x 9cm). Total height is 12 inches (30cm). Very good condition with just a few repairs to one bottom edge of the base and one bottom corner of the base. Kaesbach moved to Paris in 1900 where he worked until he returned to Berlin to work as a designer for the Rosenthal porcelain factory.
