 'Friends' by Lavroff
This stunning clock set is attributed to Lavroff. It was made in France during the 1920s and the figures and detailing are made of bronze. The lovely bronze lady lays naked looking affectionately at her dog on top of the brown marble clock. To the front of the clock is the most stunning geometric silvered bronze clock face and 2 leaping ibex motifs - in true Lavroff style. The clock is complemented with 2 matching garnitures also portraying the silvered bronze leaping Ibex. The clock measures 21 inches long, 5 inches deep and the lady is 13 inches high. The condition is very good, and it works. Please feel free to email me for more pics. George Lavroff was born Georgiu Lavrov in Siberia in 1895. He was originally an artist and he died on August the 29th 1991 at the ripe old age of 96 years! Ref: CL204 . . . £2,950 |
 Lady & Deer Clock Set
A beautiful French spelter and ivorene clock set, unsigned but attributed to Menneville. It is composed of Belgian Black marble, Rosso Red marble and green onyx and has typical deco circle shapes combined with the rectangular clock enclosure. The lady is spelter and ivorene and is wearing a typical Menneville cloche hat and long dress and is feeding deer which is sitting on a piece of onyx. The clock face is crisp and clean with the inscription 'Valery, Limoges' and is working well. The clock is complimented by a pair of spelter urn shaped garnitures, also typical of Menneville, but these ones are smaller and a slightly unusual shape, but having bases which echo the main clock base having onyx and red and black intersections. Condition: Various and numerous nibbles to the marble edges and the lady is unfortunately missing a couple of fingers (please email me for close-up pics), otherwise condition is very good.
Size: 26 inches long, 11 inches high, 6 inches deep. Garnitures: 4.5 by 4.5 by 9 inches tall.

 Bronze Panthers Clock
A French onyx and bronze clock, signed on the panthers leg - Hugues, a new name to me. The base is a mixture of beautifully patterned brown onyx with sections of mainly pale green onyx, but with some lovely and interesting coloured striations (more pics available which show the detail). Stylish ribbed detail to the front side sections, an unusual patterned clock face which may be bronze and a bronze bezel, measures 23 inches long, total of 13 inches high and 6.5 inches deep. This clock does not appear to work, there is no key or pendulum. There is also a partial hairline crack around the small cat's tail, (pic available), and therefore being sold as-is, at a sensible price for a bronze clock. Onyx is in generally good condition with just a couple of nibbles as usual.

Modernist Clock by ATO
Fabulous French Clock. With silvered bronze face and deco numerals, set in an amboyne wooden case. Made in the late 1920's by Leon hATOt, pseudonym was ATO letters taken from his surname. Hatot is famous as the first man to produce a battery operated clock during the 1920's. This clock is one of them but this one has been converted to a quartz mourn movement as the original old batteries are no longer available now. So one has the beauty of the old and original clock with the convenience of modern time keeping. It measures 9.75 inches by 6.5 wide by 3 deep (25cm x 16.5 x 7.5). Condition is very good with just a tiny bruise chip to the right hand side top corner of the glass front door, which is barely visible.
