Large 'Amazone au Javelot'
This amazing statue is the famous Amazone au Javelot by Pierre Le Faguays - an original 1920s piece made by the Le Verrier foundry in Paris, signed, as it often is, NAC. I do not yet know the significance of NAC, but it is definately by Le Faguays. This is the largest version measuring a large 24 inches (60cm) high and with an overall width of approx. 19.5 inches (50cm). Very good condition, although she may have been repatinated at some time.

 'Chiparus'
A spelter lady and deer with green patination mounted on a 23 inch Belgian Black marble base and signed on the right hand front corner 'D.H.Chiparus'. The lady is holding flowers against her chest wearing a lovely dress and a beaded cloche hat. She's a real stunner!

 Spelter Ladies attributed to Lorenzl
L171 - Lorenzl Lamp - Sold
F2008 - This is the same lady as the lamp and is also an unsigned Lorenzl, but this time as a striker (cigarette lighter). Unfortunately she is missing her striker wand, but she is of silvered spelter with similar peach coloured detail and is also 11 inches tall. The base is again Portorro Extra and is approx. 6.5 inches wide. Condition is good.

'Age Primitif' by Chiparus
This is the famous Spear Hunter by Demetre Chiparus, although this one apparently unsigned. Green/bronze patinated spelter mounted on black marble base. Original spear included. Exceptionally good condition. 21.5 inches high (54.5cm) and base measures nearly 30 inches long and 7 inches deep (75 x 18cm).
There is a connection between J. De Roncourt and Chiparus as I have had this piece signed by both artists. It can date this to 1935 as I have the original makers brochure - Societe Francaise des Bronzes and Fontes D'Art.

L'Immortalite by Julian Causse
An original French spelter art nouveau figure produced circa 1900. She is a partly clothed maiden mounted on a double stepped alabaster or white marble base and with an applied plaque with the name of the piece - L'Immortalite and the sculptor J. Causse.
Cadet Julien Causse was born at Bourges, France, worked 1890 - 1914, studied in Paris under Falguizre and exhibited at The Salon des Artists Francais in the 1890's, obtaining honourable mentions in 1892 and 1900 and a third class medal in 1893. He also took part in the exposition Universelle of 1900 and specialised in small figures. Pictures of his work can be found in the Berman book of Bronzes by Schiffer books. He was a prolific sculptor and many of his works are of young maidens. This piece is in lovely condition with the obvious ageing to the patina, but with no damage anywhere that I can see and no repairs are evident. The back of the wall has dents and peaks in it and may have been polished/painted at some time in the past, but I don't think this is a restoration as the figure seems totally original.

Amazone aux Javelot by Fayral
Green patinated Art Metal Diane statue made in the 1930's by the Le Verrier Foundry in Paris. This is the smaller model (I also have the larger version. She measures a total height of 12 inches (31cm), including the metal stepped base which is signed Fayral to one end. Fayral was a pseudonym used by Pierre Le Faguays. Condition is very good with just a few minor patina chips as one would expect.
