Disc Dancer by Derenne
A French silvered spelter nude measuring approx 11 inches (28cm) high and on a 3.5 inch square (9cm) portorro marble base. A genuine 1920s/30s piece made by the Le Verrier foundry. Derenne was a pseudonym used by Marcel Bouraine, although this is signed Derenne to the metal base. This dancer usually has a pair of discs, but this one has only one, so has probably lost one - and is priced accordingly.
