Small Female Spelter Figures 15

Venus by Le Faguays
Green patinated art metal piece and signed Fayral - a pseudonym used by Pierre Le Faguays. Mounted on a black marble base she measures a total height of 9.5 inches (24cm). In good condition.

Spelter Dancing Nude
A brown patinated French spelter nude on stepped alabaster socle, in good original condition but with some patina wear in places. Some reasonable detail to toes, fingers, face and hair for an unsigned spelter piece.

Lady Jester
A spelter lady jester with its original cold cast enamel painted detail, possibly and unsigned Lorenzl. She is wearing a green jacket, red hat and gold tights and is holding a jesters puppet in her hand. The base is of alabaster and has a diameter of 3.5 inches (9cm) and the total height is 9 inches (23cm). Condition is very good with no damage or repairs, and only some minor ageing to the patina as one would expect after 80 years.

Atalante by Demarco
1930's Le Verrier foundry, art metal statue - the smaller version of this piece which was also made as Group Atalante with a leaping deer on a larger base. It was also produced in two sizes and I have both sizes in stock. Green patinated and signed Demarco to the metal base plate. The base is of Belgian Black marble and she measures approximately 12.5 inches (32cm) to the tip of her bow. Condition is excellent.

Egyptian Dancer by Moreau
French green and gilt spelter dancer, mounted on a pyramid portorro and sienna marble base. Unsigned but probably by Moreau. Measures a total height of 15.5 inches (40cm). Condition is vintage but very good.

The Dance by Lorenzl
Pair of unsigned Austrian bronze patinated spelter figures by Lorenzl. Each is mounted on an alabaster base. The male is playing a saxophone and wears a pierotte costume, and he measures 8.5 inches high (22cm). The lady is dancing and measures 9 inches high (22.5cm).

Harem Dancer by Van de Voorde
Spelter dancer by Vand de Voorde - signed to the unusual marble base. This was originally a table lamp but now holds a removable period ball. The hole is still in the base and the original wire is still in the statue so it may be possible to return it to being a lamp. Base is made of Sienna and portorro marble. It measures 12 inches wide by 3 inches deep by 14 inches total height (30cm x 7.5cm x 36cm). In good vintage condition with just a few minor age related marble nicks.

Cymbal Dancer by Garcia
This green patinated spelter dancer was made by the Le Verrier foundry and is unsigned and mounted on a square marble base. She measures 9.5 inches (24cm) total height. Condition is very good.

Spelter Ball Dancer
French art deco ball dancer by Max Le Verrier and signed to the base along with the foundry stamp. Green patinated art metal she is holding an onyx ball. and mounted on a black marble base. She measures 15.5 inches high by 3.5 inches wide (39cm x 9cm). Condition is very good.
