Golfer Striker by Lorenzl
Cute Austrian spelter boy golfer in plus fours and carrying his golf bag. Measures 8.25 inches high (21cm) and has a bronzed patina. His striker wand was placed in his golf bag and is in the shape of a golf club. This one is unsigned although I have another which bears the signature of Lorenzl. He is mounted on an alabaster base measuring approx. 6 by 3 inches (15 x 7.5 cm). Condition is good with some signs of ageing and a few patina scratches made when striking the lighter wand.

 Rare Austrian Male Striker
A lovely 8.5 inch spelter striker in the style of an Austrian youth in Lederhosen. He is unsigned but looks like the work of J. Lorenzl and a very rare piece. He comes complete with walking stick striker wand which he carries in his back pocket. Condition is very good with a couple of scratch marks where the striker has struck the base.

 Pierrette Desk-Set
A spelter and ivoreen pierrette playing a mandolin and sitting on a spelter wall with an inkwell on one end. The inkwell is complete with its original liner. The base is of brown marble with a pen dish to the front. The base measures 11 inches long, 7 inches deep and the man sits approximately 5.5 inches high. Condition is good.

'Vautours' by Le Verrier
Rare green patinated art metal Egyptian themed desk tidy with central vulture flanked by 2 ink wells and front pen tray. Made and designed by Max Le Verrier at his foundry in Paris during the early 1930's. It measures 15 inches long X 5 deep by 7.5 high (38cm x 12.5 x 19) and is signed to the side of the bird M Le Verrier. Condition is very good but it is missing its ink well liners.

Smokers Set by Nuart
A nice quality smokers set in the manner of a pair of nude ladies supporting its original green glass lidded cigarette box with a matching green glass ashtray. The spelter ladies are of nice crisp quality, and the glass parts are immaculate, as is the bronze patinated stepped metal frame. It measures 9.5 inches wide, 8.5 inches deep and height is 8 inches. A lovely piece in immaculate original condition, and signed Nuart, USA under the glass dish.

Hagenauer Style Golfer Striker
Lovely stylised chrome striker (cigarette lighter) in the form of a golfer. Base is of wood and measures 6 x 3 inches (15x7.5cm) and height is 5.5 inches (14cm). It is stamped Made in England and in excellent condition.

Golfer Ashtray by Lorenzl
Austrian spelter golfer boy, unsigned but designed by Lorenzl. (See the striker above). Alabaster ashtray base measures approx. 5 inches (13cm) in diameter and total height is 8 inches (20cm). Condition is good with a few minor age related marks to the patina.

 Jack and Jill
A French spelter group of a boy and girl with the boy showing the girl a birds nest. They kneel next to a table of cream and brown onyx and Portorro marble, which is similar to the base. The base measures 22.5 x 4 inches deep and nearly 12 inches high. The piece is unsigned, but probably by Sega. The underneath of the base centre section is hollow and the front is of alabaster, which may mean that this piece would originally have been a lamp. Condition is good. Ref: F2280 . . . £450 |
