Modernist Dressing Table
A wonderful French modernist dressing table of exceptional quality. Possibly Scandinavian birch with highly lacquered surround in darker wood. Scrolled end feet, bronze handles and probably ivorene handles, (although possibly ivory). Four bow fronted drawers, a pair of rounded shelves either side of the peach tinted circular mirror. In very good original condition with no apparent damage and just some very minor age related marks. Measures 49 inches high (125cm), 64 inches wide (163cm) and 15 inches deep (38cm).

Decoene Bedroom Suite
Another stunning modernist bedroom set, made in the early 1930's by the Belgian company of Decoene. There is now a Museum in Belgium for the Decoene furniture items and they are highly sought after. The quality of the deco Decoene furniture is exceptional. This stunning flamed walnut set consists of a four door wardrobe, dressing table cupboard, double bed with integral bedside cabinets. The wardrobe measures 87 inches wide by 72 inches high at the centre section by 22.5 deep (221cm x 184 x 57). Inside 3 shelves to either end and two lower drawers. The centre section has a hanging rail. It has wonderful curved bottom ends and copper dish and cup handles. The dressing table has the same flamed walnut veneer, curved ends, 2 cupboards, 3 drawer space and copper handles. It measures 51 inches (130cm) wide. There is no mirror, presumably one would hang one on the wall behind it if one required it. The double bed frame has a pair of integral bedside cabinets that fit on either end of the headboard. These have a glass top panel which is suspended on copper rods which again match the copper handles. The bed is supplied with headboard, side cabinets, tail board and sidebars. The bed measures (160cm) 63 inches wide from each side of the headboard, plus each bedside cabinet measures a further (49cm) 19.25 inches wide. This gives a total width of 101.5 inches (258cm). In renovated condition which is very good with a few age related small dents to a couple of the handles from use.
