The Jonette Jewellery Company was set up by a couple called by John and Etta, hence the name Jonette. It was based in Rhode Island, USA and started business in the 1920s making humourous and unusual jewellery to suit all tastes. I have included many of their items on my websites as I think the quality is excellent and the ideas, many of which are Deco themed - are very innovative. All brooches are fitted with a safety clasp, signed JJ and some are very large in size, making a very big Deco statement at an affordable price.

Panther Brooch by JJ
Metal cat in the reeds brooch. Made by Jonette jewellery USA, probably in the 1960's and is signed to the back JJ. It is fitted with a roll safety clasp and measures 2 inches wide. Condition is excellent as new/old unsold stock.

Large guilt metal and pearl brooch. Modelled as the birth of venus by Boticelli. Made by the Jonette Jewellery company USA, signed to the back. Fitted with a roll safety clasp. It measures 3 inches tall (8cm). Condition is vintage but good.

Large stylised howling wolf brooch signed JJ and dated 1988. Measures 3 inches (7.5cm) tall and fitted with a roll safety clasp. In good used condition.

Stylised pewter finish metal brooch of a leaping horse. Made by the Jonette Jewellery company of Rhode Island USA, signed to the back. Fitted with a roll safety clasp. I also have this same brooch in a guilt finish. It measures 3 inches long (8cm). Condition is vintage but good and new/old stock item.

Large vintage chrome and pewter metal Panther in foliage brooch. Made by Jonette Jewellery USA, signed to the back JJ. It measures a large 3.75 inches (9cm) tall. Fitted with a roll safety clasp.I also have this same brooch with a guilt finish. In good condition.
