Follies Bergere plaque by Maurice Picaud (Pico)
This plaque is made of Gesso (plaster) and measures approx 26 inches square. It is made from a cast which was taken from the entrance porch of the Follies Bergere Building in Paris in 1926, which depicts the dancer Nickolska. The original is of concrete and was designed by Picaud. These plaques were made in a limited number for commemorative purposes and distributed as gifts to the members of Picos family, and apparently for sale to patrons of the theatre. The amount made is unknown to me. It is gilded in very high relief, and is mounted in a quality frame of oak which is very heavy. The condition is good with some minor ageing as one would expect. This is a very rare oportunity to own one of these stunning plaques.

French Boudoir/Salon Dolls
A selection of 3 very stylish 1920s boudoir/salon dolls with silk faces and long eyelashes, some with china hands/feet, dressed in original clothing, including an extremely rare Josephine Baker doll.

M673 - This beauty sits on her skirt which is a cushion. She measures 22 inches high. Again she has a cloth hand painted face with long eyelashes and china hands. The condition is very good with some creasing to her costume and a few stray hairs around her head, some minor wear to the tip of her nose. £195

French Knife Rests
Set of 8 knife rests which seem to be children themed, depicting children on a see-saw, playing tennis and sailors etc. They each measure 3.5 inches (9cm) long and each bear a small stamp, possibly a hallmark, as I believe they are silvered bronze.

Jewellery Box by Vallot
Lovely French pewter jewellery box - silver and gold gilt with bird and foliage to the lid. The inside is lined in red velveteen and the lid is signed F. Vallot. To the underside is stamped Etain Garanti, Made in France. Very good condition. 3.5 x 4 inches (9x10cm).

French Desk Set
Wonderful French celluloid 3 piece desk set consisting of stamp, letter opener and pen, in its original case and in excellent condition.

Modernist Tazza
Wonderful silver plated tazza from Germany with an 11 inch diameter and 8 inches high (28x20cm). It bears 2 small metal stamps to one handle but is too small to read. The bowl has its original glass insert with etched edge detail and is in excellent condition.

Snail Picks Set
Stylish chrome and celluloid picks set (6), probably designed by Benjamin Rabier, and measuring approx 3 inches long and 4.5 inches high. Condition is very good.

Ronson Lighter & Box
These train style touchtip lighters and boxes in black enamel and chrome are extremely stylish and this one more so than any of the others as the condition is extremely good. Even the lever arm is in one piece! Measures 8 x 4.5 inches and 4 inches high (20 x 11 x 10cm).
