Lady and Dogs Craquelier by Le Jan
A pink crackle glaze nude lady with wavy, deco hair, kneeling beside a pair of borzois. The piece measures 22 inches long and 8.5 inches high. There is a signature - barely visible - Le Jan to the back of the base. Other than a couple of tiny chips to the dogs nose, the condition is very good.

A wonderful ceramic craquelier bear in sitting position - a signed piece by Du Quenne, and measuring 10 inches (26cm) high and in excellent original condition.

 Rare Elizabeth 1st Lamp by Goldscheider
This unusual lamp is in fact by Goldsceider and is signed underneath the
figure. She is modelled as Queen Elizabeth 1st and she holds a sailing
ship in her hand. The base is made of wood, and it has a lovely original
pressed glass geometric shade. She measures 7.5 inches high and the
whole lamp is 17 inches to the top of the shade. Condition is very good,
with just a few very minor age nibbles to the edge of the shade which are
barely noticeable.

Alabaster Parakeet
A one-piece carving of an alabaster parakeet, signed KATZ, and measuring 12 inches high. As usual with Katz pieces the eyes are of glass, but this particular model is mainly white with just a few parts of amber showing. Good condition.

Mephistopheles by Max Le Verrier
Wonderful and extremely rare terracotta bust of Mephistopheles made by Le Verrier during the 1920s and measuring 17 inches high (43cm). Mephistopheles was an agent of the devil according to the legend of Faustus. He was a man who sold his soul to the devil, hence the horns and pointed ears. Condition is excellent with just a postage stamp sized dark mark to the side of the base probably caused by a sticker and a couple of very small chips to the edge of the base. An extremely rare find.

Terracotta Bust by Real del Sarte
Beautiful green patinated terracotta bust of a young woman measuring 10.5 inches (26cm) high and in excellent condition. Gilded highlights to her hair and signed around her neck. Maxime Real del Sarte was a top sculptural artist famous throughout France for his monuments and memorials including Joan of Arc at Rouen, and you can find more information about him in my info on artists page.
