Chasseresse - Bronze Clock by Lavroff
French Art Deco Diane the Huntress clock set. This one is unusual as the side pieces have adaptions to make them table lamps. Whether this was a factory option I do not know but they are telescopic pieces whereby it is possible to extend or reduce the height of the lamps. The lady is silvered bronze and signed Lavroff to the sole of her foot. The clock face and the leaping deer panels to both the side lamps and the front of the clock, are also silvered bronze. The lamps have a double bulb holder to each but I do not have any shades for them and leave that to the purchaser. The clock measures 20 inches wide by 9.5 inches high by 4.5 inches deep (51cm x 24cm x 11.5cm). The side pieces measure 4.75 inches (12cm) wide, 6.5 inches (17cm) high without the lamps (which are removable), up to 17 inches (44cm) high (adjustable) with the lamp fittings and 3 inches (8cm) deep. The marble sunray clock case detail is in Sienna, Rosso and Portorro marble. Condition is very good with a few tiny age related marks as one would expect. Each lamp has a twin bulb holder with a large bayonet fittings.
