Wonderful Strike-Lite penguin cigarette box and lighter with black and green enamel box, chrome knob and black metal base, circa 1934. The Penguin is rarer than the monkey version. Squeeze the lever to the front and the penguin will pick up a cigarette from the drawer for you. Condition is very good with minor age related marks as one would expect and comes with its original striker wand although half of it is stuck in the base.

French smokers set in chrome and macassar ebony. Consists of a mirror base tray, ashtray, cigarette pot and a match holder. The tray measures 10.5 inches in diameter (27cm). Condition is vintage and used but good.

Another of my Nut bird type characters, this one is an owl made of a brach of a tree. Marked only British made but probably made by Henry Howell and company who made the Nut birds that retailed with the Dunhill company. He has glass eyes and a celluloid beak and feet. Total height is 5 inches and the base measures 5.5 inches by 2.2 (13cm x 14 x 6). Condition is very good.

M922: Rare cream celluloid book lighter. Pull the spine of the book to reveal the 1920's lighter. Measures approximately 2.5 inches square and in very good condition. £95

I believe McMurdo once worked as a designer for Dunhill before going it alone and producing this chunky black leather and chrome table lighter measures 3 inches long and 3 inches high (7.5 x 7.5cm) and is engraved to the top Biddle Sawyer Co. Ltd, and stamped beneath McMurdo. Condition is good.

A pair of stylish Ronson touchtip lighters (strikers).
M427: Chrome elephant with ivorene tusks, measuring approximately 5 inches high with some minor ageing to the chrome, but excellent for its age. Comes complete with its original striker wand and Ronson label underneath.
£195
M630: Signed Ronson touch tip with black enamel and chrome base measuring approximately 3.5 inches wide and 3.5 inches tall. Condition is good with some age spotting to the chrome.
£95

Stylish table lighter as above but with bakelite case and marked Corona. Possibly an advertising lighter. In good condition with a few minor age related marks. Measures 3.75 x 2.5 x 4 inches high.

An unsigned spelter Lorenzl striker (cigarette lighter). She is standing next to a column which houses the striker wand. The lady measures a total of 10.5 inches high, including the portorro base which measures 6.5 x 3.5 inches. Condition is very good with some ageing wear to the patina on her front thigh and rear calf, where she has been held. No damage or repairs and guaranteed to be a Lorenzl.

Nutbird ashtray with phenolic cigarette rests and the bird has glass eyes and a beak and feet. The wooden base measures approx. 7 inches by 6 and the bird sits 4 inches high (18cm x 15 x 10). Condition is vintage but very good and the ashtray still retains its original glass dish.

This punk bird is an unsigned Dunhill nutbird, Marked 'Ebony' to the base as the body is made of macassar ebony. He measures 5.5 inches high or 7 inches including the matches (14cm, 18). He has glass eyes and an ebony beak and there is a striker panel to one side. Condition is vintage and used but good.
